wow, today was the last official day for all the seniors…

Even though I really only got to know some of them over the past two years, I’m gonna miss them…

so here is a shout out (am i allowed to do a shout out even though i’m white?) to all the senior people who I know and will miss- Kaitlin (my Algebra II buddy- the one who could keep me awake during Mr. Browns lectures… “WHAT?!? WHAT WAS THAT, MR. WEPPLER?!?!”), Emily (COCKTAIL!!! “Evan, you’re ugly!”… and many more memories), Sarah (Awana… sigh… and of course, thank you for taking me/letting me take you to Jr. Sr.- I still have my corsiage!), Lindsay M. (Meg… my dearest Meg… thank you for always having me over for parties), Lindsay E. (I’ll never forget the ride home from TAPPS… can’t wait to see you in New York on stage!), Kyle S. (Get krunk for Christ!), Eric (Yearbook will miss it’s best… omnipresent photographer), Matt and Sean (how in the world do you fill those snack machines??? it looks so complicated…), and many more… many many more…

okay- after that- i must announce the invention of a word that all Houstonians and specifically Cypressians (actually, make that two words) see in effect all the time-

Subdivize- to make/turn into subdivisions. Ex: I saw that the forest and all its trees were TORN DOWN just so someone could subdivize it…

according to dictionary.com, the word is subdivide, but i like my version better…!

i want everyone to give props to The Lady Emichan for leading worship at Elementary Chapel with me today, as well as teaching the 4th and 5th graders a lesson in tuning a bass. So, for you that know the tune, join in:

For she’s a jolly good fellow

For she’s a jolly good fellow

For she’s a jolly good fellow

And she has just two more days of school… grrrr

jesus…

all for jesus…

all i am and have…

and ever hope to be…

Okay, here are twenty different things from the top of my head…

1. OKAY, Bright Eyes is on Jay Leno right now and he’s singing a song about when “the President talks to God” being all flippant and rude— I REALLY WANT TO YELL AT HIM LOUDLY AND PROFUSELY!!!

2. I have a autographed Ken Griffey Jr. Ball- i hope it’s worth some money

3. People listen up- Don’t call every Asian person Chinese- people at school were doing this to one of my friends and i just got annoyed

4. Nestle Toll House Candy Bars- Soft and Chewy Cookie and Brownie are very delactable and scrumptulescent!

5. I saw the Comedy of Errors on Sunday- everyone rocked the house down… I’ve got a feeling if Bill Shakespeare saw it he’d love it… although the dance from Dirty Dancing- although very funny- might have shook up the shakespeare

6. My old e-mail address- evantheoddball@ev1.net

7. When we lived in Norway, on the way to the bus stop there were these bushes with white berries- i loved to pull them off and throw them at people

8. C.S. Lewis is confusing-but-cool

9. One Tree Hill has, unfortunately, turned into another soap opera- it used to be pretty good (sorry if that offends people who love the show)

10. ER and Grey’s Anatomy are two good doctor shows

11. At church this Sunday, a sixth grader in my sixth grade sunday school glass shot a spitball from a few feet away right into my ear canal!- fortunately it came out

12. I grabbed him and was going to beat his brains out until he started biting.

13. Just joking- “WE ARE A NON-VIOLENT GROUP”- said in a Middle-Eastern accent

14.  I’m sorry- does that sound offensive to middle easterns?  Maybe I shouldn’t say that…

15. Today is my Youth pastor’s birthday.  He’s… 30 years old… right J.J.?

16.  I share a birthday with my grandma

17. I love to play pool

18. Too much Scrabble Boggles your Cranium…

19. We’re finally playing Dodgeball at school- It’s so much fun!

20. “I’ve got a fever- And the only prescription… is more COWBELL!!!”

wow, that was a lot of stuff…

PHEW!

well, stuco elections were today- and i wasn’t elected student council chaplain.

BUT THAT’S OKAY! it just wasn’t God’s plan!

Hmmm… elections… elect… we are the elect… he has chosen us- he has a plan for each of us and me being chaplain just wasn’t in his plan.

I just can’t wait to see what else He has up His sleeve…

Of course, the big question is- Does God wear short sleeve shirts or long sleeve shirts? Or what about sleeveless shirts? That’s a theological question of the ages…

: )

Well, I have decided to repeat this list for those who didn’t read, do, and/or comment.  Here it is again…

You need to do two of these things by the end of the week or else an acorn will fall on your head and squirrels will jump on your head and attack you trying to get the acorn and you will get on “When Squirrels Attack” on Animal Planet.

1. Walk up to a person at Walmart, Randalls, the mall, wherever, and ask them their name.  When they tell it to you, scream, “WAIT A SECOND! You’re _________!!! Please don’t hurt me!!!”  and run off

2. Leave a sugarcube by an anthill (for your own sake, not near your house)

3. Write a note to your best friend in pig latin

4. Read a book that you read when you were in Elementary school

5. Tell a joke to your pet, and when they don’t do anything, tell them, “Man, you just don’t have a sense of humor!” (do this in the presence of others- and you will never live it down… so do it in the presence of others… he he he…)

6. Read the dictionary cover to cover

7. Watch the Spanish channel

8. Eat a marshmallow

Well, to make up for lost days, here it goes-

FRIDAY- Woke up early and took the bus to the school for the speech meet and me and Lisa presented our duet and did fabulous and there was only one other duet and they did something from Anne of Green Gables but broke character and started laughing and anyway we did so good we ended up winning gold medals!!!  Meanwhile all this time I was working on a speech to give at Student Council Speeches that were taking place at 2:30 but then it turns out that traffic was bad so the bus arrived at the school just in time for me, Jesica, and Billy to make speeches but I was mad because I worked so hard on my 3 page speech and that I missed everyone elses’ speeches but it was cool because everyone cheered as we came in.  I did my speech and did ok (I think I sounded fumbled and bumbled but everyone said I did great).  After that I did Good News Clubs at Lampkin and after that I went to the Volunteer Appreciation banquet and it was themed like the Academy Awards and was tons of fun and since my family wasn’t there I sat with the Moschettas and got some certificates and laughed and laughed and laughed at all the funny skits.  Then I went home and collapsed and went to bed.

SATURDAY- Slept in til twelve. Had skit practice from one to three.  Worked on homework.  Ate at Bennigans.  Watched “Taxi”.  Laughed.

SUNDAY- Well, I was playing Jesus in the skit at church so I had to get to practice at eight and we practiced then I headed over to Jr. High to help out and the Days led worship, but the entire guys side was standing in front of the screen so we sat down so everyone could see the words (I need to talk to David about that arrangement).  The skit went well and I also played “The Fruit of the Spirit” and gave a fun introduction and the kids had fun and I had fun and then after church I was going to go to a swim party but couldn’t because of driving reasons so we went home, had lunch, watched part of “Flight of the Phoenix” and went to the Awana Awards thing and got an award and dressed up and yeah.  Then we came home, I finished the movie and slept and worked on my paper and watched TV and worked on my xanga and here I am.

Tomorrow I have a math test and I don’t understand part of it.   EEEH! (frustrated)  And I have homework and…UHHHH! (even more frustrated).  And I’m feeling better… OHHH! (frustrated because I can’t stay home from school tomorrow).  Look behind you… AHHHH! It’s a ghost!!!!! (snickering) and (yawning) and… I need to go to bed…

Thank you Annie for your help.  It turns out that the very day I wrote that God gave me a chance to help someone!  PRAISE THE LORD, as David wrote 400 million times!  He is good!  He is great!  He is awesome!

(To those who remember Screwtape Letters, and those who are reading it right now…  I am right now out of a slough- I am at a peak period… like Dobson talked about when our emotions fluctuate… right now I am /\ !  But I know eventually that I will be \/ … so I just pray that the drop will be soft and I will continue to trust God…)

I AM SO SICK OF BEING SICK AND NOT KNOWING WHY I AM SICK!!!!

What are you supposed to do when:

There is a chance to do some good in another person’s life.  Be a friend, or a mentor.  But what happens when the oppurtunity isn’t really open?  Do you:

a. Work hard and try to get involved in the person’s life even if they don’t want you to or are pretending they don’t want you to when they really do

b. Just wait for God’s perfect “open window”

c. Step away completely

d. Do a little dance

What do y’all think? (ignore d)

(By the way, nobody has any clue what I’m talking about or who or where or what I’m talking about… you can guess but you’ll be wrong…)

Okey dokey, I should be working on homework, but I am going to make a little to do list for everyone.  You need to do two of these things by the end of the week or else an acorn will fall on your head and squirrels will jump on your head and attack you trying to get the acorn and you will get on “When Squirrels Attack” on Animal Planet.

Deuteronomy 30:12- Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach.

1st John 5:3
This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome.

-Well, school was good… I was so tired from staying up late making my xanga that I was really tired in Spanish and Chemistry and English…

This week I’m not watching any TV (I mean if I am in the room and watch a few minutes or catch a glimpse while walking by, I’m not going to give myself forty lashes or anything…) I mean that I won’t plan to watch any TV and sit down and watch a whole show.  So this week I’m taping Everwood, Gilmore Girls (yes, my sister got me addicted to it), Scrubs, The Office, LOST (it is so cool), Alias (JENNIFER GARNER!!!), ER, Tru Calling, and that’s about it.  So everyone- pray for me, because I need help.

I am a TV addict.

It will take up all my time, even when I have no time for school, friends, or family, I will make time for TV.  It is almost as if I have made it my god.  Yes, in fact, I believe I have! I’ve ignored the entire Old Testament, all of God’s warnings, and I have been worshipping a false idol- giving it my time, obsessing over it- I really need to give it over to God.

Of course, it won’t help if I am using up all my TV time on the Internet, so I will be trying to cut that too!

(Okay, I’ve gotten down from my soap box.  No more ranting and raving- even if its true)

Oh dear, what am I going to do about this problem?
